Based on 3,957 reviewsFortuna Bakery & Coffee - Hunters Creek is widely recognized for its fresh and diverse selection of baked goods, including traditional Colombian pastries alongside gluten-free and reduced sugar options, appealing to a broad range of dietary preferences. The bakery maintains a clean and inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. La Fortuna Bakery was founded by Colombians. Isn’t a Colombian bakery any more. You can feel the difference as soon as you walk in. In the Loop Fortuna Bakery, personnel including the “Chef” are Venezuelan nationals, that doesn’t have any idea of how to treat the customers or know anything about Colombian recipes and flavors. Recently I ordered a chorizo that wasn’t cooked properly. I returned to the register to let them know about my disgusting experience with the raw meat, but instead of listening to me, they started arguing that the Colombian chorizo, was cooked is normally served in such disgusting way. It’s sad that the original owners, handed over to that people, such a good restaurant. This individuals lack the knowledge of how to deal with this kind of business. I don’t recommend this place to anyone that loves the Colombian food.
Ordered the passion fruit mousse, guava cheese turnover, and guava cheese pannoleta and all were super good and they all looked like there were baked fresh this morning. They have a lot of baked good varieties with gluten free option and reduced sugar. The ladies who helped us were really nice
Thank you Lorena! As also with all the servers and attendants always with a smile and distinctive way in offering their menu. Love the gluten free coconut recommended
I’ve been going to Fortuna Bakery for the past 7 years, and the bread has always been amazing. It’s fresh, consistent, and one of the reasons I keep coming back. The only thing that can be hit or miss is the service. Some days the staff is warm and friendly, and other times it feels like you’re bothering them just by ordering. It doesn’t stop me from coming in, but I do wish the vibe was a little more consistent. Still, great spot for good bread.
Briana was my server. She was super friendly & made good suggestions for some extr food/drink I had not tried yet. The Bakery is super clean, great food, & always quick. I have been several times. HIGHLY recommend !
Found this place on Yelp, a bit of a drive away from where we were staying and out of our way to the airport, very busy place and most everyone spoke Spanish except for us. I'd say this is a popular place for locals. Everyone was really nice, we didn't know the protocol but certain items you get and go and certain items are made fresh. So there's a wait yeah ours was a wait a bit longer than they mentioned and longer than hoped for but when it came out, very hit a fresh and way bigger than expected. The breakfast flatbread was stacked high with fluffy scrambled eggs nice pieces of real bacon and cheese. The breakfast croissant was big and nice soft egg. This place has amazing looking desserts and pastries items, coffee and coffee drinks. Nice and clean and super friendly staff
